Hi,
I’d just like to say a big thank you to Dave & all the guys there at West Penine for helping me complete my DAS mod on Monday 23rd November, and especially to Steve for all your help – i couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!
All the best and good luck with the move!

Yvonne, I would just like to thank yourself, Dave and your team for making my DAS an enjoyable and safe course with expert tuition in horrible conditions.. Without you I wouldn't have passed 1st time. I will be recommending you to all future wannabe bikers in the future. Regards John

Hello
Would just like to say thanks for all your help throughout my training.

Dave,
Just wanted to say thanks to yourself, Steve, Alan, Chris and Terry for getting me up to speed on a bike and getting me through all the tests. Getting on my bike and riding off on my own feels great. Your training was worth every penny, especially since a trip to work on the bike costs me £8, compared to about £25 in the RS6. I hope to see you soon for the ERS.

Hi there West Pennine,
I just wanted to write and thank Dave and Chris for being so patient with me and getting me through my CBT.
Chris taught me for my very first session and as a complete novice I was struggling a bit with clutch control and co-ordinating everything in the pouring rain!
I came back for 2 hours yesterday (on a lovely sunny day!) to do some additional training and some more road experience. At first I was very nervous and kept doing all the wrong things – but Dave was very patient, giving practical and down to earth advice, and by the time I came back from my road training I was doing OK and starting to enjoy myself. Now it’s great to think I can go out and practice on my own and get some real experience as an official Learner!
Thanks a lot.

Dave just a quick mail to thank you and your staff on my recent direct access course. i took the 4 day option and thanks to chris, allen and especially steve who helped me with the difficult slow stuff i passed module 2 first time. All the best for the future, i had a great time and it was well worth the daily commute from west yorkshire. regards Rob graham

Just want to say a massive thanks to Steve, Allan and chris who all helped me to pass my bike test. They are excellent instuctors and im grateful for there tuition i wouldn't have passed without it.

Dave,
First of all ‘Thank You’ from a very satisfied customer. I’ve just successfully completed my Module 1 and Module 2 DAS with passes first time. You and the team took a complete novice and in 6 days transformed me into a competent rider (at least competent enough to pass!). Time, money and effort well spent from my side.
Secondly I want you to know what a great team you have. From Yvonne who managed my many questions and difficult booking before the course, through to all of the instructors – Chris, Terry, Alan & Steve. All of the team were incredibly patient with my many faults. In particular I was impressed by the personal nature of the course. You & the instructors really sort to understand what I needed and adapted the training routes and schedules to meet my needs. Truly an inspirational team. I would especially like to highlight and thank Alan – who not only has the biggest hands in the north of England , but also has the patience of a saint!
Thank you again. I will always remember my time with WPM.

Hi Dave Just wanted to say a BIG Thank You for getting me through my DAS Test this morning. I would also like to thank Chris who took me out for two days and Steve whose constant commentary on what I should be doing whilst riding ensured I put it in to practice during my test. I still can't believe I passed with no minors .... it shows the level of training I was given and I am so thankful to each and every one of you. The feeling riding back alone to the training centre after I passed was immense .... a total sense of freedom! It was a rocky start on the 125cc, I couldn't seem to get the hang of the 'U turn' and it wasn't until the Wednesday I managed to get on the 500cc. Everything seemed to click from then on and the extra days training with Steve paid big dividends for me, thanks Steve. I would like to do the ERS in the near future ..... hopefully get a bigger starter bike first then I can make my own way up to Blackburn ... on the motorway :o) Thanks again to everyone involved in helping me get through, I will certainly recommend WPM to any would be motorcyclist who wants professional training. Hope to see you all soon, a very ecstatic Jason - Liverpool 03/03/09
Thanks for all your help getting me through my test on the 2nd March at the second attempt.
Special thanks to Terry who ‘knocked me into shape’ and to Steve who fine tuned things on the day of the test.
Thanks again,
Paul Parkinson

Dave, Many thanks for the superb training today by Steve. Steve suggested some additional training on a larger bike would be a good idea. Any chance of a few hours next Sunday morning on one of your 500,s? What sort of costs? Regards, Stuart.

To all the staff at West Pennine. I cant believe i passed and with only 1 minor mark. for someone who has never riden a motorcycle before in their life i feel i have done very well and could only have done it with the training i recieved. I'd like to thank Terry who trained me in my CBT and got all my monuveres 1st time on the car park. Ste and Allen who trained me in the days leading to my test. The training as absolutly first class and your instructors are a credit to the company. Hope to see you all again soon when my partner buys me a bike. keep up all the good work Stuart williamson.

I am just emailing to say a big thank you to everyone at West Pennine for their help and getting me through my test first time today.
I took the 3 day CBT to DAS license which at first I thought was a bit of a gamble but with particular help from Steve on the first day and Chris on the second day they made sure I knew everything needed for the exam. I would also like to thank Dave who gave me a very good prep lesson just before my test and made sure everything was up to scratch.
Overall I appreciate all the hard work all you guys put it and hope the company continues with its success.
Thank you again
Niall

A note of thanks for getting me through the DAS. I’m still smiling a day later.
Living in Leeds I had a bit of a commute to get to you but it was worth it.
Special thanks to Allan and Steve for their constructive tuition.
Now it’s time to get a bigger bike, and I’ll be back for the next course to enhance my skills.
Cheers

Hi Yvonne/Dave Just wanted to say 'thanks' for thinking of me Tuesday night and offering me the place Weds-Fri. As you know I passed first time - so it wasnt wasted, and was pretty good given my less than stellar back end of last week! At least it all came together for a great weekend, making Wednesday and Thursday on the big bike much easier than i expected. Please pass on my regards and thanks to the whole team - I think I spent a day each with most of them(!) Everyone was great, but I'd especially thank Steve and Keri (no idea how to spell it!) for the last few days. My Hornet arrives Wednesday - cant wait! take care Nick

I have already made my first recommendation to use you –To my wife!!
Thanks to you both for your support –Sorry for all the calls Yvonne

Hi Lynne,
Just a quick email to thank Dave, Chris, Steve and Alan for their time and efforts in getting me through my DAS course. Great to have spent some hours in the saddle with them all and well worth it. Thanks again guys.
I have attached a photo of the local bike transport here in Pakistan. Personally I think they need some training in proper control and the use of the correct safety equipment !
Thanks again guys, I really enjoyed it.

Hi Dave and crew, Just dropping you a line to thank you all for your expertise, patience and professionalism during my 4 day D A S course. For you all to get me through in that time is awsome. Only god knows what my instructor was thinking as I dropped the 500cc bike 3/4 of an hour before my test. Not only that but snapped the front brake lever in the process....SORRY. Thought I would never pass my u turn part after that. Again thanks a million, highly recommended to all I speak to... Best regards Mr S J Ross

Just a few lines to everyone at West Pennine following my successful DAS Test today 8/8/08. I hadn't been on a motorcycle for over 25 years but I have been trained at various levels driving police vehicles (including pursuit training) and would say that all the instructors that tutored me over the past week with yourselves have been as professional if not more so than all my previous training. They were clearly very well trained and their techniques were second to none. I really can't praise them enough. Perhaps them most obvious thing is how enthusiastic they all seemed, and I'm sure it can be difficult with some of us newbies ! Special mentions for Alan and Steve, without both I am sure I would have failed. Thanks again. The Canadian Stand up even helped !! You really do have a great team. I would recommend you without hesitation. Graham Wallsworth

Hi,
just a quick note to say a big thank you to all the instructors for helping me pass my test today (10/7/8) on the big bike with only 2 minors.
A special thanks to Alan who in the last 2 days sorted out my rear obs technique and U turns.
May well see you again in the future when I get a bike for a bit of additional training.
Thanks again

Dear WPM
Just a quick note to so many thanks for the direct access course I completed Last week.
You are well advertised, friendly on the phone and literally sort everything for the customer.
I chose the 5 day direct access course, on Day 1 the CBT I really thought 3 days later I wouldn’t be walking away having passed my full test on a 500cc and only 1 minor.
I would like to say a special thanks to Kerry and Chris who worked hard with me to iron out my bad habits and take me on some very memorable rides across the Pennines.
The course was great value at £600 including accommodation and a great Irish fry up.
Having worked in extreme cameras for the last 7 years I would like to offer my services at any point to return the favour. I can supply camera mounts and cameras to provide DVD’s or online footage that you may require. Myself and an assistant can come and film teaching sessions or advanced riding sessions at a suitable time which may produce some great images for your website or even a DVD brochure for the school.
Once again I owe you guys and many thanks for the great few days.
Still haven’t picked a bike yet but sure ill be back for some advanced training soon.
Cheers

Just a quick note to say a massive Thank You to all the team at West Pennine for the excellent DAS course I have attended and successfully completed this week. I passed my practicle test today with only 4 minors ( 3 of those were down to nerves ). The knowledge, guidence and confidence that Steve, Alan & Chris have given me will prove invaluable for years of safe riding. Thanks once again and all the best for the future. Regards Les Reger

Hi David,
F**K me! I passed my test first time!
Honestly now, big thanks to Alan, Kev, Chris and yourself for the patient training, and good instruction.
Your content and quality of training is far superior to that I experienced over here in Liverpool, and it was that, that saw me thru in the test.
Thanks again to everyone, I’ll try not kill myself in my first week on my ZXR.
Best regards,
Si

Hi there, I just thought I'd drop you a quick mail just to thank all the guys for the training I received over the last few days. I had my test today and passed (admittedly with a second chance at the U-Turn as my foot went down and was given another go) The training was really good and all the instructors were patient and really put me at ease as the nerves were getting to me on the day of my test. Thanks again Andy Rogers.

All the lads,
Its just sunk in that I've passed my full DAS licence today and I would like to thank you all for the training, advice and support you have given me over the past 4 days. I arrived a novice and now, after the excellent course have come out a confident rider, thanks.
Only issues I have now is when not on a bike and when I want to walk around in a semi circle I tend to bump into my 2 children and into furniture because I keep looking to a point i want to end at. Non the less, I can now always escape on a bike. (After the kitchens finished).
Again all, many many thanks. I will recommend to all.

I am now looking for a bike, there is such a lot to choose from!!
I had a great 4 days with you guys, enjoyed every minute.
Thanks,

Hi,
I thought some feedback you might like to use on your website was in order
I started a 6 day residential DAS course with West Pennine as a total novice. In the first instance I could barely put the bike into first gear, let alone steer it. Slowly but surely I began to gain confidence and was patiently guided through the process of learning to ride a bike. At the end of the first day, I'd ridden on the roads and passed my CBT. Throughout the following days I passed my theory test and progressed to the point where I could step up to the 'big' bike. This was in no small part thanks to the patient tuition of Alan who took the time to explain exactly where I was going wrong with my clutch control. This was the turning point. All the instructors at West Pennine were professional and approachable and they each had an impact on my development as a rider. On the 6th day I passed in appalling conditions, hail and light snow making for a real challenge. Without the expertise of the West Pennine guys I wouldn't have made it. From zero to hero in 6 days- thanks guys.
Regards
Sam Cadwallader

Good afternoon,
I just wanted to express my sincerest thanks for all your help. I went from having never ridden a geared bike before to passing my DAS test with only one minor in 5 days.
The training I received was brilliant. I would like to thank Chris for taking me through my CBT and teaching me the basics and then Steve for taking me for the remaining days and developing my skills so I was a safe rider.
Thanks once again for your help and I shall be contacting yourselves for a day of training when I buy my bike.
Kind regards,
Ryan.

Hi,
I’ve just completed a five day DAS course and would just like to say a great big thanks to all that helped me pass my test and fulfil a long burning ambition to ride a motor cycle.
The instructors have the patience of saints!!! they took me from a complete novice to a confident rider in a relatively short period of time.
I struggled with U turns and indicator cancelling but with the help of the instructors that’s a thing of the past now.
Can I ask that you pass on my thanks to all the instructors and I hope to see them again for advanced training some time in the future.
Also, there was a lady on the course with me called Amanda, can you let me know if she passed or not?
Thanks again…

Hi I booked to take my CBT last week and had no idea what to expect,I was very nervous about taking it, I arrived on Sat 15th in -2 Degrees teeth chattering weather,I have never been so cold! I took the CBT on my own new 125cc Bike having never ridden a bike before. So I got to the test centre at the Golf range and everyone was really polite and helpful,I took my CBT along with 2 other lads, all the time I am thinking "I am the only girl here" but that didnt seem to matter. I was Introduced to Alan who then took all three of us through the training on the car park, how patient is this man? he was brilliant with all of us,after going through the controls of the bike and safety clothing etc,it was time to get on the bikes,we went round and round cones, trying different situations and scenarios,I was sooo nervouse but gradually with Alans expert tuition I settled in to it and took on board everything he told me,the final thing of the morning was u-turns,could I get that bike to do a u-turn? no! I tried and tried and tried again eventually after Alan guided me and instructed me and probably just about lost his voice, I did it! Yeah.. time for Dinner and to proceed to another part of the CBT, oh and a very Hot Chocolate drink. So we set off to go out on the road with our ear pieces in place and off we went, all the time the only thing I could think was "all the traffic from Christmas shoppers in Blackburn town centre"! but anyway I will cross that bridge when I get to it,so we went out for ages, and it was freezing cold,by this time I couldn't feel my fingers or toes. After stopping for a quick brew,de-frost and rest ,off we went to that dreaded town centre, but under Alan's expert tuition and constant radio contact in my ear I did it,we actually went through major traffic in the centre, and every hazard you could possibly think of came at us,shoppers, taxis, buses, cars etc,but we did it and it was great fun,we arrived back at the test centre and all that was left to do was to sign the certificate and I couldn't stop smiling, brilliant I have done it,something I have been wanting to do for years as my Husband took his full motorbike test with West Pennine and he 100% recommended you ,we want to go out for bike rides, now we can. what a great day. So thankyou to Alan who's patience is never ending and his knowledge of his subject is excellent and the passion he has for motorcycling is inspiring, have a great Christmas Alan and everyone at West Pennine and I will be back to take my full test within a couple of years (I think). Merry Christmas Billie-Jean Heaton x

Hello there, Could you please forward this to all concerned, expressing my sincere thanks to the staff at West Pennine, namely Alan and Ste for giving me the necessary expert tuition needed in order for me to past my test, which i previoulsy failed in September this year. On arrival on my days tuition after a lenghty spell away , it was like starting again and once on the bike i wasn't far wrong, i felt like i was using someone else's arms and legs, dreadful is a light hearted word, the truth would maybe offend.. I was nervous, tense, lack of confidence etc etc, however Alan took me on full throttle (so to speak) and with his calm expert tuition, guidance and honesty, my confidence was improving by midday no end. By the end of the day after numerous discussions i told Alan i honestly didnt think i was ready for the test, for those of you who know Alan, he took me to one side and gave me the pep talk to end all pep talks (England manager's stuff) and honeslty told me i was mad if i didnt attend the day after as he was happy with the progress i had made that day and it would be a waste not to. Not once did he buckle under my constant 'self knocking' of my performance, which to be honest he could have quite easily have done, and with this talk gave me the boot up the a**e i really needed. So onto the day of the test, again i was with Alan for 2 hours going through basics, until i was swapped to Ste and went out on the road. His expertise and very calm instruction combined with Alan's basic instruction that morning, gave me the necessary tuition and confidence to pass the test that afternoon. Those 2 instructors are a real credit to West Pennine and please pass this on to them. Once again, many thanks. Craig Lord

Hi all
I am writing to express my sincere thanks to all of you, but extra
specially to Alan and Steve, who managed to turn me from a very under
confident rider (had not ridden for 16 years following an accident) to a
more than competent, confident and safe rider in just four days. They
had endless patience and offered sound advice (yes even Steve's "Stop
fannying about and get on with it" worked a treat!!). I thoroughly
enjoyed my days with you all and will not hesitate to recommend the
training school most highly to anyone that expresses an interest in
being a safe and knowledgeable rider. I passed my test first time with
only four minor faults so I was even more delighted.
Once again a heartfelt thanks to those wonderful instructors named, and
to everyone involved with West Pennine Training. Long may you continue
to provide such an excellent service to the motorcycling community.
With regards
Jane

Firstly can I commend the facility on its organisation, professionalism and quality of service.
I went from never having been on a motorbike to my fully flegded standard license in a mere 4 days.
Upon arriving on the first day my clutch control was rather interesting but under the expert guidance I was kept on track. I struggled with indicator canceling and U-turns started to really get me down, but Alan's persistence gave me the confidence I personally required in order to fulfill a long term ambition of riding a motorbike. What a great feeling when Mr. Hunt told me I had passed.
Alan is an outstanding instructor, he doesn't miss a thing and continues to remind you which areas you need to improve, but in an encouraging not condescending manner. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor and was particularly lucky that I had his attention for the entire 4 days.
Alan is a credit to the WPM team and I am sure, had I been placed with any of the other highly competent instructors I would be coming back with similar positive feedback.
My aims are now either; (33bhp restricted)
ZXR 400 or an NSR 250 (very smart little pocket rocket) If I manage to pick up one of these collectable specimens I will no doubt pop down some time to show it off.
Until then can I reiterate my thanks.
Money well spent
All the best in the future,
Joshua Egan

A big, Lankie "Cheers, Pals !" to the staff at WP-M Training for all your help and patience last April-May.
In particular, a Massive Thanks to Chris M. for his tenacious and resolute tuition in getting an old('ish) novice-biker on the Public Highway and for teaching lots of necessary skills for the A2 Practical, during my 4-day intensive course. OK - so I turned out to be the ONLY WP-MT candidate NOT to pass on that day, but my only dastardly failure was me being overcome by my fears (again !) - my old demons of U-turning and v.low speed maneouvering (50-odd mph careering along country lanes / dual carriageways was a BREEZE !). If only I wouldn't have toppled over at 0.001mph whilst U-turning ON MY TEST ! - I too would've passed.
Having put those 4 days' of tuition into practice over the next 4 months I've had 2nd go and PASSED my full A2 test !
The attitude and approach of particularly Chris gave me an excellent start and now I'm biking each & every single day and LOVING IT ! (- my car's used once a week now, if that).
I really enjoyed my course and my stay in the vicinity and I thought the standard and ambiance of your B&B accommodation was 2nd to none. MANY THANKS GUYS (& YVONNE) ! I'll definitely recommend you to friends.
Regs,
Richard B.

Morning Yvonne,
I had the great pleasure of attending a 6 day DAS course at WPM in April. Having never ridden a bike before, I was thrilled to pass the course with flying colours.
Now that a little bit of time has passed, I wanted to pass along my thoughts on the course and the people who helped me. First of all, I was petrified on my first day as I didn’t know what to expect. All the instructors were very friendly and make me feel at ease.
I would like to thank Alan, who brought me past my initial nervousness and taught me the fundamentals. I was very surprised how quickly I came along and by lunchtime of the second day, I was just riding…. Without having to think about everything I was doing. He taught me how to do emergency stops properly aswell as the dreaded turn in the road. I also rode pillion with Alan & picked up some good tips on the way back to the B&B.
I spent one day with Kevin before the test. He helped me bring my riding ability beyond the standard required for the DAS test. It was a tough day, as Kevin pointed out, passing the test doesn’t make you a good rider, there is always room for improvement. I haven’t forgotten that.
I also have to thank Steve who was my instructor when I moved onto the big bike. He reinforced all the skills & reminded me to “get a move on” when we went out into the quiet country roads. He also taught me the skill of filtering through traffic tailbacks. “Because, after all”, said Steve, “we’re on chuffing bikes”. After four days of riding, I was thrilled how far I came along. I didn’t feel nervous at all when riding. On the morning of the test, Steve brought me out and went through all the tough manoeuvres on a variety of surfaces. Although I didn’t believe him at the time, the test was over before I knew it. There were no surprises as I had done everything a hundred times before.
Now that 4 months have passed, I want to say that I think I have an advantage over most riders. Because I hadn’t ridden a bike before, I didn’t have any bad habits. The techniques I learned from Alan, Kevin and Steve have stayed with me, as I don’t know any other way. I can’t recommend WPM highly enough. Especially to complete novices. I am now the happy owner of a Honda Shadow 750 and I am learning all the time. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again when I’m over that direction.
Thanks a million for everything,
Greg Ward

Dave, Yvonne,
Just a quick email to say thank you.
I had never ridden a motorbike before and I was a little wary, I had no need to be, your instructors are fantastic.
The two instructors I had, Alan and Chris were great, their patience extra-ordinary.
I would like to say a special thank you to Chris who instructed me after my CBT to test, he is a credit to training school, even though I was making simple mistakes he never got angry, was always helpful and encouraging.
After passing my test last Friday and chatting with the examiner, we mentioned West-Pennine and that I had been very happy with the tuition, he said he also had to visit the training site occasionally and that he was also impressed with yourselves.
I would gladly recommend West-Pennine to anyone I know who is considering learning to ride.
Once again Thank You
Jon

Hello Dave / Yvonne
Well no one was more surprised than me when the DSA Examiner told me I’d passed. (I was a complete novice with no bike experience 5 days ago)
Can I thank both of you and everyone at WPM for making my training relaxing and enjoyable. Everything was so well organised from CBT, theory test, right through to practical test.
Can you pass my thanks onto John who took me through CBT and especially Kevin who took me from CBT through to conversion?
When I gain some more experience I will definitely come back for advanced training.
Best regards to all the instructors
Andy Holmes

Hello Guys, Just a quick note to say a BIG thank you for all your help in helping me pass my test, may I add a FAULT FREE pass as well, Dave, Steve, John and Chris you are all real gentlemen, your professional manner and constant tuition is faultless. When I got back from passing, there was only Steve at the site, so a MASSIVE thank you once again to all of you, I felt a little sad when leaving knowing I most probably won't be seeing you guy's again. I wish you all the very best. I will certainly be passing on your telephone and details to my friends who are looking at doing the same DAS course. Paul.
14/05/07
After today passing my test i would like to thank all involved for the help, support, and excellent tuition especially from Alan for my first two days and Steve for the last two, didn't get chance to thank Alan personally but his help was much appreciated. Best wishes to everyone, Steve R.

Hi Guys, Just a quick note to thank you all for the help, training and advice to get me through my CBT to DAS licence in 4 days. I still can't believe that I did it with only 2 minors. Any way thanks again, I will recommend you without hesitation. all the best for the future Kraig

Hi guys,
just a quick email to say thanks for all the help and effort over the last 4
days. I cant thank you enough! Managed to pass the test without any
problems, all down to your expert tuition and peristance. Particular thanks
to Steve and Alan who supervised me on my training. I will definately be
recommending the school to others, a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere
coupled with some top class tuition. I actually felt sad after the test that
i wouldnt be riding around with you guys any more. I guess now i will have
to go my own way! :-)
Thanks again!

PS - Alan loaned me a magazine and i realised i have given him the wrong one
back. Found his on my table when i got in. If there is an address i can post
it back to please let me know and i'll pop it back via the post. Cheers.
Also if you find the one i left instead i would be grateful if you could
possibly do the same as that too was on loan from a friend. Thanks

Dear all, just a quick line to say thanks for your excellent service and
training to get me through my big bike test today.
I was thoroughly impressed with the level of instruction and would
particularly like to thank both Alan and Steve.
I shall be recommending your centre to anyone I meet who needs training and
once I have purchased a bigger bike will definitely be back for some extra
tuition.
Many, Many thanks,
Darren Gill.

Hi,
Just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you all for getting me through my 5 day CBT/ DAS course. I did wonder at the start of the week whether it would be achievable but the quality of the training given and the trainers themselves does put you in the best position to pass.
Please would you pass on my thanks and regards to all your instructors who helped me

Hi Dave,
As yours is the only e-mail I have, this mail is really aimed to you and your team. There are so many things which I will never forget (Bloody Gyroscope) (turning my indicators off) I am now checking that my car indicators are turned off correctly. The list could go on. Your team are great and I feel I have met some great people and would enjoy at anytime to ride with any of them. So this is acknowledgement that you have a professional business with good guys who enjoy a good laugh.
I have been out on my bike Saturday and Sunday with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it, even making progress along country roads (That’s your doing)
I would love to come and spend a day with any guy to go for a good spin including motorway driving. A Saturday would be preferable.
My good friend Stu would also be interested in doing the same course as me and may come down on the same day to have a little chat.
Thanks again for the pass certificates.
Regards
Gregor McGarrie

Hi to all concerned - just a quick note to say thanks for the enjoyable 4 days I spent up there with you - I think the continuous rain was a small price to pay!! Chris - the first day for the cbt was great, you gave me confidence in riding and made it all seem easy. Phil - what can I say?? Two days spent training with you was valuable experience for me. I used what you taught me and therefore had no problems with the test. You said that you expected a clean sheet from me, but I don't like it when you are always right, so I got a single minor to prove you wrong!! Who cares - I passed!! Dave - you gave me the last drilling before the test, I think you most probably teach a higher level than the test itself, but the hour or so I spent with you was definately worth it. Of course, not forgetting John who keeps the bikes maintained to a high level - thanks, you are doing a great job there. I am back in Maidstone, where the sun is shining and I am not back to work until Monday, so I am just waiting for the insurance guys to open up shop and then I'll be out on my bike in dry weather. Don't know if you guys know what it's like to ride in dry weather, but I'll let you know!! If it is possible, could someone also thank Tony at the B&B for me as I didn't get his email address. Once again, thanks to all concerned. Regards Brian Smith

Hi there,
Can you pass on my thanks to all at West Pennine as, after never getting on
a bike till six days ago, I passed my DAS test today at the first time of
asking. No one was more surprised than me when the examiner told me the good
news!
Special thanks to Chris who introduced me to bikes, Dave who introduced me
to big bikes and also who didn't get too worked up when I rode into that
lamppost on Tuesday and got me back safely afterwards (that was my first
pillion ride ever as well!), Phil for showing me that there was hope after
that mishap and who then made me think that I could do it after all and Dave
who helped keep my nerves down this morning before my test, especially when
I lost the plot when it came to U turns.
The U turn in the test went perfectly, but then I was so relieved that I
nearly missed cancelling two indicators just afterwards. Just got away with
that and am now officially a biker!
Thanks again for this weeks experience, I'd recommend you to anyone who is
thinking about taking up biking without hesitation,
Cheers,
Jez
